Due to popular demand of our products it’s now having to upscale production and therefore require help with the day to day running of our small busy kitchen producing hand-made and hand-piped specialist patisserie, in particular the macaron.
Duties to include general kitchen assistance:
- Manage the weekly production of macarons
- Learning and developing the art of the macaron – making, mixing, piping and colouring
- Help with the day to day running of a small, busy kitchen
- Preparation of ingredients (weighing and setting out)
- Preparation of equipment
- Maintaining clean and hygienic working areas
- Managing stock control (ingredients levels)
- Developing other hand-made items
- Preparation and packaging of general and online orders for clients
- Washing up of utensils and equipment
Requirements
- Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently and methodically
- Willingness to be hands-on and work as part of a small team and when necessary independently
- Deputise in the absence of team members
- Work well under pressure
- Ability to complete the task in hand on a daily basis
- Willingness to learn new techniques and attend specialist courses if necessary
- Occasional weekend work representing L’Amandier at Farmers Markets, Food Fairs and Wedding shows – setting up stand, serving customers, handling money and general customer service
- Prepared to grow with the company and help develop other patisserie products
Hours
32 hours per week
Monday 12 – 5 pm
Tuesday – Thursday 9 – 6 pm
